The event focuses on change in scientific communication and its impact on good scientific practice, publication practices, and quality assurance in this context. “Predatory publishing” is a phenomenon that has existed for some time; later, major open-access publishers such as MDPI and Frontiers raised the controversial question of quality in scientific communication. With the now widespread use of AI, this question has taken on a new dimension that has also implications for good scientific practice.
