Academic theses are an important stepping stone to the next stage of students’ professional and academic lives. At the same time, supervising such theses can present a number of challenges. As supervisors, you not only support students in conducting academic work, but also help them uphold the principles of integrity in academic and artistic study, teaching and research.
Practical presentations will provide guidance on supervising academic theses in accordance with the updated Guidelines for Supervisors of Academic Theses (January 2025). The changes introduced by the 2024 Higher Education Law Package, as well as the Austrian Agency for Research Integrity (OeAWI) guidelines on good research practice (2026), are taken into account.
