Die Auswahl der Beitr\u00e4ge erfolgt in einem <strong>\u201cpost-publication  peer review\u201d-Verfahren<\/strong>. Ein \u201cJournal Club\u201d, bestehend aus  2.665 renommierten Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern, benennt,  kommentiert und bewertet besonders wichtige und interessante Arbeiten  des jeweiligen Fachgebietes. Die Bewertung dieser Expertinnen und  Experten (<em>Global Leaders. Expert Knowledge<\/em>) erfolgt auf Basis  einer dreistufigen Rating-Skala, je nach H\u00e4ufigkeit der Nominierung  eines bestimmten Beitrages wird \u2013 auf Basis eines \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.f1000medicine.com\/uniquearticle\">Unique article ranking  system<\/a>\u201d &#8211; der sogenannte F1000-Faktor errechnet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F1000 rating of 3 or more<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Key articles for those in sub-speciality<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F1000 rating of 6 or more<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Either a landmark article within a sub-speciality or an important  article across the speciality<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F1000 rating of 9 or more<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cExceptional\u201d A landmark article for medicine<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Clinical Impact label<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Faculty Members also indicate whether an article suggests a change  in current clinical practice and offer a description of what the change  could be. F\u00fcr interessierte Nutzerinnen und Nutzer gibt es einen eigenen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.f1000medicine.com\/about\/blogs\">F1000  Medicine blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend beim Journal Impact Factor (Journal Citation Reports) von  Thomson die Bewertung von Zeitschriften im Mittelpunkt steht, evaluiert  Faculty of 1000 Medicine einzelne Fachbeitr\u00e4ge.
