Die Universitätsbibliothek hat den dauerhaften Zugang zum Zeitschriftenarchiv des Verlages OVID (Wolter-Kluwers Health) erworben. Damit stehen ca 300 Titel, vom ersten verfügbaren Heft bis zum Jahrgang 2003, im Computernetz der Medizinischen Universität Wien zur Verfügung.

Die Archivtitel sind auf der Zeitschriftenplattform des Verlages OVID mit einem speziellen Symbol gekennzeichnet:

NATURE: Universitätsbibliothek der Med Uni Wien erwirbt digitale Archive

Mehr als 20 österreichische Universitäten, Forschungs- und Bildungseinrichtungen haben gemeinsam mit der Österreichischen Bibliothekenverbund und Service GmbH im Herbst 2008 das NATURE ARCHIV erworben. Somit besteht durch Vermittlung der Universitätsbibliothek auch für die Mitglieder der Medizinischen Universität Wien ein dauerhaftes Zugriffsrecht auf die elektronischen Archivausgaben der folgenden Zeitschriften des Verlages Nature:

PDA: Harrison‘ Practice für Palm und Windows Mobile

Der Testzugang zur Online-Version von „Harrison’s Practice“ inkludiert auch die Installation am PDA. Dazu ist lediglich eine einfache, kostenlose Registrierung beim Anbieter nötig. ACHTUNG: Diese Registrierung ist nur mehr bis 12. 11. 2008 und nur am Campus der MUW oder über den Remote Access möglich.

Nach der Registrierung können sie auf der Website von „Harrison’s Practice“ einloggen und einen Freischaltcode (serial number) für die PDA-Version per E-Mail anfordern. Klicken sie dazu, nach der Registrierung und nach dem Login, auf „PDA“, rechts oben auf der Homepage von „Harrison’s Practice“.

Wenn sie den Freischaltcode erhalten haben, dann laden sie die passende Software (Palm oder Windows Mobile) vom Anbieter auf ihren PC herunter und installieren „Harrison’s Practice“ auf ihrem PDA.
